Before taking a newly arrived preloved bag out for the day, give it a quiet check against the listing. This is the easiest time to notice a missing strap, an unexplained mark or a model that differs from the order.

Keep everything together

Retain the parcel packaging, included tags and paperwork while inspecting. Read the seller or platform’s return instructions before removing anything. Keep the order confirmation and saved listing nearby.

Compare item by item

Check the model, dimensions, material and included accessories against the description. Inspect corners, lining, handles, strap attachments and closures. Record any odour or functional problem as well as visible marks. Take clear pictures in ordinary light.

Raise a difference promptly

If something is not as described, contact the seller or platform through the order’s proper channel. Explain the specific difference and attach evidence. Check the actual deadline and process rather than assuming all sellers offer the same return window.

Wait before changing the bag

Do not clean, recolour, repair or remove programme tags while a concern is unresolved. Condition inspection and authentication are separate tasks; request qualified assessment if authenticity is uncertain. Once the bag matches the order and any concerns are settled, keep a small record of its purchase and starting condition for future care or resale.
